Overview
Do you work with a partner, team, or staff? Add users to your GotPhoto account for easy collaboration. You fully control user access rights and what they can and can't change in the account. In this article, we'll review how to add users to your account.
⚠ Please note: This feature is available to Enterprise and Pro tier customers.
Adding users
- Click on your name in the upper right corner of your admin area, and then select My Account. On the following page, click on User Profiles in the menu on the left.
[ Classic Interface: Click on your name in the upper right corner, and then select Users & Passwords]
- Here, you can see the current list of users associated with your account, their access rights, and FTP credentials (if set up for FTP transfers).
- To create a new user, select + Add user in the upper right of the page.
- Complete the Basic information (required) settings for this user (name, email, and password).
- Under Rights Management (required), select whether they should have Admin, Individual, or Upload only control in your account.
Admin: Users with Admin rights will have the exact same rights as the account holder. They can change settings, add / remove users, manage photos and orders, access job statistics, and access the CRM. Individual: Users with Individual rights can be customized. Once you select that option, a drop-down will appear with each of the rights, and then you can decide which ones this user will have.
Upload Only: Users with Upload only rights can only upload photos to your account. You can then decide if they can upload photos to any job, or just the jobs that are assigned to them. Users with Upload only rights will still be able to see all available jobs, even if they are not assigned to them, however, they won't be able to upload photos to these other jobs. Access to Settings: In all 3 cases, you can separately select if a user can access the account settings. - If you are using an FTP server to upload photos to your account, you can also set this user up with FTP credentials. Tick the Upload photos via FTP box and a dropdown will appear, allowing you to create the user's FTP username and password.
- Click Save to finish adding the user to your account.
- Make sure to let the user know the email address and password you used to add them to your account (under Step 4, Basic information), and then they can log in / upload photos.
