Error: "Unknown Error"

This error can appear in two cases:

  1. A recent firmware update failed mid-way
  2. There is a USB issue.

Here are some indicators that you need to perform a firmware update:

  • A red notification badge is displayed in the bottom left corner of the app and in the pairing screen/"Your Entaggeds" screen
  • The Entagged LED is red or deep blue
  • Check the firmware screen. If it says A 0.0.0 or A ?.?.? The update did not complete successfully and the Entagged won't work properly.

To resolve this, please perform the firmware update again, ensuring the camera remains active (out of standby) throughout the entire process. If the update is stuck, try the methods outlined in this article: My Entagged firmware update isn't working.
