Photo jobs that use coupons generate more revenue compared to those that don't. Here's why:
- Setting a coupon adds a countdown timer in your shop, creating urgency and encouraging purchases.
- If you're using QR cards, coupons are promoted directly on them—perfect for sending home after shoots.
- Communication profiles use coupon deadlines as email triggers, notifying customers before expiration to drive shop traffic.
Note: Monetary job coupons apply to one order at a time. Customers shopping for multiple children must place separate orders to use the coupon on each.
Creating a coupon
Create a coupon via the photo job settings under the Important Events section:
- Coupon: Tick this box to enable the coupon.
- Deadline: Set the coupon expiration date. This will trigger reminder emails and display the countdown timer. Choose a Sunday for best results and allow at least two weeks.
- Coupon discount: Choose between a monetary or percentage value. Use the Rule of 100: if the purchase is under 100, percentage discounts feel bigger.
- Only one use per access: Limits the coupon to one use per access code. Leave unchecked for shared households.
- Discount level: Set your discount value and optional minimum order value.
- Offer free postage: Check this to promote free shipping—great when using batch shipping.
- Add discount level: Click this option to include additional tiers to your coupon. This allows customers to receive a discount that grows exponentially the more money they spend, incentivizing them to spend more on their orders. You want to make sure that the different tiers are of value to your customers, as well as affordable for you.
