My barcode scanner is flashing and/or beeping.

The LED lights on Opticon barcode scanners flash and blink in various colors, as well as beep, to notify you of status and potential errors. This guide outlines these patterns for easy interpretation and next steps.

Please remember that to pair a barcode scanner with an Entagged device, it must be one of the compatible models.

Blue, blinking every 5 secondsScanner is connected to your Entagged device.Everything is functioning correctly.

Yellow, single blinkBarcode has not been scanned correctly.Scan the barcode again.

Yellow, steadyBattery lowCharge your scanner. If you cannot charge your scanner close enough to your camera, use the Entagged app to keep scanning barcodes while the scanner is charging.

Red, steadyScanner is charging.Let scanner charge until LED turns green.

Green, steadyScanner is fully charged.Unplug your scanner from the charger.

PurpleCombination: Scanner is charging (Red), and either paired or ready to pair with your Entagged device (Blue).Follow resolution steps for Blue and Red patterns.

WhiteCombination: Scanner is either paired or ready to pair with your Entagged device (Blue), and battery is low (Yellow).Follow resolution steps for Blue patterns and charge your scanner.
