Overview
If you did not use QR Cards during your photo shoot, you can still tag each subject manually to generate unique access codes. This article explains how to tag images manually and activate their access codes
Set up manual tagging in your photo job
- In your Photo Job, select Access code for each person.
- From the dropdown, choose Manual tagging.
- Click Save settings to confirm your selection.
Organize and tag uploaded photos
- Upload your photos in Photo Management.
- Ensure each person’s photos are placed sequentially. Manual tagging won’t work if the images are randomly ordered.
- Tag the first image of each subject:
- Click Add random access code(s) under Step 2.
- A green QR code symbol will appear, indicating the access code has been assigned. This code applies to all following images until the next green QR tag.
- Click Add random access code(s) under Step 2.
- [Optional] Add a custom access code:
- Click the first image for a subject, then use the QR code icon below the preview to add or edit a code.
- Codes must contain only letters and numbers—no special characters or spaces.
- Click the first image for a subject, then use the QR code icon below the preview to add or edit a code.
- Click Save to apply your custom access code.
Note: Group photos do not require tagging. All access codes in the album will be able to view and purchase them from the online shop.
Activate access codes
- Confirm that the first photo for each subject has a green QR symbol.
- Click Activate access codes.
- In the popup, click the blue Activate access codes now button.
- Once activated, images will be grouped under each subject’s unique access code.
The takeaway
Even without QR cards, you can efficiently organize and distribute images using GotPhoto’s manual tagging and access code activation features, making it easy for subjects to find and purchase their photos.
