Job Statuses

The GotPhoto system utilizes different statuses in order to let you effectively manage your photo jobs.

To change the status of a job, go to the job's Settings tab:

In the upper right corner, you can see the job's current status.

Click the drop-down menu to change the job status. The following statuses are available only in Standard Photo Jobs (i.e. not Prepay Jobs):

  1.  Planning (inactive) : When a job is set to "Planning (inactive)" customers cannot order from your prepay or standard shop. This is the default status for every new job you create and is the recommended status when you are preparing your job and uploading photos. If you need to take the job offline temporarily, you can switch a job back to "Planning (inactive)" status without triggering the communication profile, although customers won't be able to see their photos or order during that time.
  2.  Selling : Customers can ONLY order from your shop when the job status is turned to "Selling" AND the archiving deadline has not passed. Moving the job status to "Selling" MAY trigger the communication profile, as this is a common and recommended notification trigger (check your communication profile if you are unsure of which triggers you are using).
  3.  Archived : When a job is moved to "Archived," customers can no longer order from your shop. If they do try to log in and order, they will see a message letting them know their photos have been archived. Moving the job status to "Archived" MAY trigger the communication profile, as this is a common and recommended notification trigger (check your communication profile if you are unsure of which triggers you are using).

The following status is available only in Prepay Photo Jobs:
  4. Prepay  (Prepay jobs only): Customers can ONLY order from your prepay shop when the job status is turned to "Prepay" AND the prepay deadline has not passed. Moving the job status to "Prepay" does NOT trigger the communication profile.
