Working with Composite (Collage) Photos

Overview

GotPhoto provides the ability to differentiate between different types of photos in order to streamline your sales process. In this article, we'll review the ins and outs of marking photos as composites in your GotPhoto platform.

Benefits of Marking Photos as Composites

  • Dynamic Pricing: Photo tag that allows you to assign higher pricing for specialty photos like Memory Mates and collages.
  • Subject Grouping: All images from a subject, including those tagged as composites, can be uploaded at the same time to the same album where the customer can view them all in the same area.
  • Sales Packages: Ability to combine composites with individual and group photos.
  • Next Gen and QMate (v1.04 or newer) integration both support this feature, if you order/create memory mates, they will be automatically flagged as composite photos.

Pricing Composites

  1. Update Your Price Profile:
    1. In your Price Profile, select the group photos or composites.
    2. Click "Set price for each category":
    3. Set a price for the Composite Photo.
  2. Label your Composite Photos. You have two options to do that:
    1. Add "_composite" or "_MM" or "_collage" to the end of your filenames before uploading. The system will automatically show a pink layered icon on the corresponding photo after upload. In your online shop, customers will automatically be shown the composite price that you have set in the price profile.
    2. Alternatively, you can use this option: After uploading your photos and activating the access codes, click the photo you want to mark as a Composite and select Tag as composite in the menu on the right.
The composite layer icon will appear on the photo. In the online shop, customers will be shown the Composite price for this picture that was set up in the Price Profile.

The Takeaway

Optimize your sales process by marking photos as Composites. Enjoy benefits like dynamic pricing, efficient subject grouping, and enhanced sales packages. Price and label your composite photos within your Price Profiles, and streamline the purchase of specialty images like Memory Mates and collages. Integration with Next Gen and QMate ensures automated flagging for Composite Photos.
